Notes Jacopo Grimaldi, a notary of the St. Peter's Basilica, reported how those responsible for the custody of the relic prepared a copy of Volto Santo for Poland's Queen. The silver-gilt frame for the image was founded by Primate Jan Wężyk and created by a Polish goldsmith. The doors of a frame were adorned with engraved Crucifixion in inner side and with founder's coat of arms in outer side.
