Description
English: Strontianite
Locality: Demix-Varennes quarry, Saint-Amable sill, Varennes & St-Amable, Lajemmerais RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada
Original description: FOV 6.7 x 4.7 mm. Found May 1998. Analyzed specimen.
According to Horvath et al (Min Rec, Mineralien Welt), strontianite is fairly common in contact zone cavities. But this was the only such find I ever made.
The specimen was microprobed due to a foul up on my part. But, thanks to Pavel Kartashov, it resulted in some nice SEM images and scan
