English: Stronchrubie Cliff Can you make out the diagonal fabric in the upper part of the cliff in the middle distance? This is a duplex, or imbricate stack, of thrust sheets of limestone. These have been stacked up like a pack of cards by the tectonic movements which created the Moine and associated thrusts. |
