Stromatolitic limestone - glacially planed-off outcrop of Hoyt Limestone in the Cambrian of New York State, USA. Stratigraphy: Hoyt Limestone, Upper Cambrian Locality: low outcrop on eastern side of Lester Park Road (Petrified Sea Gardens Road), north of Rt. 29, west of the town of Saratoga Springs, western Saratoga County, eastern New York State, USA. Stromatolites are large, layered structures built up by mats of cyanobacteria.
