Summary
[edit]DescriptionStraube Cabinet Grand (1901) (by nwclassicyacht).jpg |
Beautiful carved upright grand, in the family since new. Purchased by my Great Grandfather, Roy Petersen of Fairhaven (Bellingham), Washington in 1901. Restored by Piano Tom's c. 1988 (www.pianotom.net/). The piano was recently tuned and is in very good playing condition. It's 57" tall and weighs about 57 tons. Straube Piano Company was established in 1878 in Hammond, Indiana, 19 miles from Chicago. They were a larger manufacturer and built several different brands including Straube, Hammond, Gilmore, and Woodward. |
