Get here a large view! Der Stratosphere Tower ist mit 1149 Fuß (ca. 350 m) der höchste freistehende Aussichtsturm der Vereinigten Staaten. Über der Aussichtsplattform befand sich seit dem 30. April 1996 die auf 280 m Höhe gelegene Achterbahn High Roller, bis zum 31. Dezember 2005 die höchstgelegene Achterbahn der Welt. Diese wurde allerdings mittlerweile vollständig wieder abgebaut. Mit dem Big Shot kann man sich den Turmmast hochkatapultieren lassen und kehrt dann im freien Fall von etwa 40 Metern wieder auf den Ausgangspunkt hoch über den Dächern von Las Vegas zurück. Bei „Big Shot“ wirken 4 g auf den Fahrer und man ist an der Spitze für eine kurze Zeit schwerelos. Die dritte Attraktion am Dach des Turms (seit 2003) heißt X-Scream und lässt einen im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes über die Kante der Plattform stolpern. Der jüngste Nervenkitzel „Insanity – The Ride“ ist eine Art Kettenkarussell mit freiem Blick in die Tiefe. Mit seinen drei Attraktionen könnte man den „Stratosphere Tower“ als höchstgelegenen Vergnügungspark der Welt bezeichnen. Der „Stratosphere Tower“ birgt in seiner Aussichtsplattform das Top of the World Restaurant. Es dreht sich innerhalb einer Stunde einmal um seine Achse und bietet dabei einen kompletten Rundblick über Las Vegas und seine Umgebung bis hinüber zu den Spring Mountains und zum 3.630 Meter hohen Charleston Peak.
