| Description |
English: Strata with Benbulben A low cliff of Carboniferous limestone outcrops at the head of the shelving strata cut by the sea. Views across the edge of the bay show the iconic mass of Benbulben. The same rock strata, the Glencar Limestone Formation, make up the nearby cliff and those of the distant mountain. Faulting of the rocks is the reason for the difference in altitude. |
