English: Stranraer Pier THe railway station, still complete with semaphore signals, is seen at the right, while MV 'Ailsa Princess', a roro car ferry, awaits on the right for a later departure to Belfast. This is the shortest sea-route to Ireland, and for travellers from Scotland or Northern England represents probably the best way to get there. |
