Description
Deutsch: Zinkgussgehäuse eines Straßenbrunnens an der Poststraße 23 auf der Fotografie Berlin, 1889. Vor dem Knoblauchhaus steht einer der edleren Straßenbrunnen mit einem Zinkgussgehäuse, wie es für attraktive Standort über Kesselbrunnen als Schwengelpumpe errichtet wurde. Der Standort befindet sich an der Ecke Poststraße und Nikolaikirchhof. Der Blick ist an der Poststraße entlang nach Südost zum Mühlendamm gerichtet. Diese Straßenecke wurde bei der Neuanlage des Nikolaiviertels anläßlich der 750er-Jahrfeier 1987 ungefähr wieder eingerichtet, nachdem die kriegszerstörten Gebäude im Quartier in den 1960er Jahren beräumt, teilweise eingeebnet worden waren.
