Description
Simple English: Lighthouse from 1891. Location outside Loftahammar archipelago. Eastcoast Sweden in the Baltic sea.
Svenska: Fyren tillkom på yttrande av sjöfarande, särskilt dåvarande Södra Sverigebolaget, vars båtar trafikerade Västervik och behövde en fyr för inlöpande i skärgården när de kom norr ifrån. Förut var endast en båk på skäret. År 1891 uppfördes sålunda ett fyrtorn av järn, flyttat från Gotland, på skärets södra udde, jämte nödiga byggnader för personalen. Beläget på ostkusten i ytterskärgården utanför Loftahammar.
