Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Stonehouse (Bristol Road) railway station (site), Gloucestershire
Opened in 1844 as "Stonehouse" on the Midland Railway's line from Gloucester to Bristol, this station acquired the "Bristol Road" suffix in 1951. It closed to passengers in 1966. It appeared to be disused when this image was taken. Forecourt view south west. The railway line is still very much in use, out of sight to the rear and right of the building. A branch line platform also existed nearby from 1867 to 1947 for the Nailsworth branch.
