Description

Stonehopper, a species of Acrididae. Talbot Road Reserve, Swan View, Western Australia, May 2012.

This little hopper was quite small, I'm guessing about 3-4 mm. He would hop perhaps half a metre, then sit still, superbly camouflaged amongst the leaf litter and sand. He wasn't too keen on a camera coming close.
