Deutsch: Stolpersteine zum Gedenken an die Juden Dr. jur. Martin Schlesinger (* 28. Juni 1900 in Kattowitz; als † erklärt zum 31. Dezember 1945 in Riga) und seine Frau Betty Schlesinger, geborene Braun (* 3. August 1902 im damaligen Ostrowo; als † erklärt zum 31. Dezember 1945 in Riga) in Hannover vor der Villa Simon am Königsworther Platz, Brühlstraße 27 (damalige Hausnummer 7). Nach der sogenannten "Reichskristallnacht" rettete das Ehepaar Schlesinger ihre beiden Kinder, den damals 9jährigen Michael und seine 6 Jahre alte Schwester, vor schlimmeren Schicksal: Ohne - den verbotenen - Abschied am Bahnhof sandten die Eltern ihre Kinder mit einem der letzten Kindertransporte am 22. August 1939 ins britische Liverpool. Die Eltern aber wurden 1941 als staatenlos erklärt "gemäß § 2 der 11. Verordnung zum Reichsbürgergesetz vom 25.11.1941 Reichsgesetzblatt 1 Seite 722" und ins lettische Riga deportiert. Das dortige Ghetto Riga war durch die Ermordung tausender lettischer Juden 1941 "freigemacht" worden für "Arbeitseinsätze" von Juden aus Deutschland. Das Ghetto wurde 1943 aufgelöst, die Überlebenden schrittweise in das Konzentrationslager Riga-Kaiserwald verbracht. Wie und wann das Ehepaar Schlesinger starb, konnte nie geklärt werden: Auf Antrag ihrer Kinder, die in England den Geburtsnamen der Mutter "Braun" angenommen und anglisiert hatten ("Brown"), erklärte das Amtsgericht Hannover am 29. März 1952 die Eltern rückwirkend zum 31. Dezember 1945, 24 Uhr, für tot. Erst 2009 konnte der schon 79jährige Sohn Michael seinen Eltern im Beisein von Dr. Peter Schulze und Gabriele und Frank Lehmberg von der Deutsch-Israelischen Gesellschaft gedenken - anstelle der nicht vorhandenen Gräber nun vor den von Gunter Demnig verlegten Stolpersteinen am letzten gemeinsamen Wohnort der Familie. Martin Schlesinger (* Juny 28, 1900 in Kattowitz; declared as † to December 31, 1945 in Riga) and his wife Betty Schlesinger, born Braun (* August 3, 1902 in Ostrowo; declared as † to December 31, 1945 in Riga) in Hanover in front of the Villa Simon at the Königsworther Platz (Konigsworther Square) in the Brühlstrasse 27 (formerly No. 7). After the so called "Reichskristallnacht" the couple Schlesinger retrieved their two children, at that time the nine years old Michal and his 6 years old sister, from a worser destiny: Without (the forbidden) good-bye at the station the parents sent their children by one of the last Kindertransporte on August 22, 1939 to Liverpool. But the parents had been declared 1941 as stateless according to "§ 2 der 11. Verordnung zum Reichsbürgergesetz vom 25.11.1941 Reichsgesetzblatt 1 Seite 722" and deported to the lettish Riga. The local Riga Ghetto had been "cleared" after the assassination of thousands of lettish Jews for "work input" of Jews from Germany. Since the end of 1943 the ghetto had been liquidated, the survivers brought step by step to the Kaiserwald concentration camp. How and when the couple Schlesinger died could never be clarified: After the request of their children who in England adopted the birth name of her mother "Braun" and anglicized it into "Brown" the Amtsgericht Hannover declared their parents as dead on March 29, 1952 backdated to December 31, 1945 24 o'clock. Le Ghetto Riga là-bas était "déchargé" par le meutre des milliers juifs latviens pour la "mobilisation pour le travail" par le juifs d'Allemagne. Le ghetto etait annulé en 1943, les survivants étaient mis pied à pied au camp de concentration Riga-Kaiserwald. Comment et quand le couple disparu - c'etait jamais éclairé: D' après la demande de leurs enfants, qui ont adaptés à la Britannie le nom de leur mère "Braun" et anglicisés "Brown", le tribunal d'instance "Amtsgericht Hannover" a déclaré le 29 mars 1952 les parents d'etre mort avec effet rétroactif au 31 decembre 1945. Seulement en 2009 le fils Michael, qui etait a ce temps déjà 79 ans, accompagné par Dr. Peter Schulze et Gabriele et Frank Lehmberg de la societé Deutsch-Israelische Gesellschaft pourrait commémorer ses parents - au lieu des tombes pas existantes mais maintenant devant les Stolpersteine posé par Gunter Demnig à la place du dernier domicile da la famille Schlesinger. |
