Description
English: Stolpersteine für Berta, Sabine und Julius Gutmann in der Kaarster Str. 8 in Meerbusch.
Deutsch: Stolpersteine für Berta, Sabine und Julius Gutmann in der Kaarster Str. 8 in Meerbusch. Es war ihr "Elternhaus", das sie vom 1933 verstorbenen Max Gutmann erbten. Unter Druck des NS-Bürgermeisters Hugo Recken mußten sie es verkaufen. Sie hatten damals absolutes Berufs- und Betätigungsverbot, Julius Gutmann war im November 1938 einige Woche in Haft, trotzdem er schwer versehrter und dekorierter Weltkriegsteilnehmer war. Sabine und Julius Gutmann erhielten ihr ererbtes Haus nicht zurück, weil NS-Beamte die Erbschaft nicht im Grundbuch eintrugen. Bundesdeutsche Richter befanden dann, das ohne Erbdokumente kein Recht bezüglich des Hauses bestehe.
