English: Stokehall Lane Stokehall Lane is a peaceful single-track lane which winds its way from the A51 near Barbridge past Stoke Hall to the much busier lane between Acton & Wettenhall. The narrow humpback Bremilow's Bridge at the A51 end (SJ6156) ensures that it receives little traffic. For part of its length it runs immediately south of the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union Canal (left, not visible), separated by a narrow strip of woodland (left). Although the closest approach point is only a few metres, no public access to the canal exists |
