English: Stody Lodge - Japanese Water Gardens One of the azalea-lined paths through the Japanese Water Gardens.
The Japanese Water Gardens are located in the southwestern corner of Lodge Plantation, on the other side of the Holt Road. See also https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/787304 and https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/788398. The water gardens are believed to have been planted with more than 2000 Azalea mollis. Stody Lodge and Gardens, their main feature being the collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, which is described as being one of the largest and most dramatic in East Anglia, are open to the public on only six days per year, usually in May when the rhododendrons are at their best > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/788223 - https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/788313. |
