Description
English: Stockport Market Place. On the left is the Produce Hall, built in 1852 on the site of Stockport's first Post Office. Also known as the Hen Market or Cheese Hall in 1875 a library was opened upstairs. To the left, between the adjoining Georgian style Merchant's House and the Baker's Vaults 1449226 is Bridge Street Brow. Also known as Kelso Banke or Brierly Brow (after the 1744 Mayor), it leads to Great Underbank and Bridge Street 1449148.
