Summary
[edit]DescriptionStevens Arch.jpg |
English: My reason for going through Crack in the Rock, other than to prove to myself that I can still do it, was to get a closeup of Stevens Arch. This was taken from the base of the monolith that dominates the valley, on the northeast side.
My first trip to this place was about 12 years ago. I spent a day and two nights in Coyote Gulch or at the trailhead and didn't see a single other person. Last week, there were probably 70 cars parked at the three trailheads, so I guess there were well over 100 people in Coyote Gulch. It's the same everywhere I go. Last night I was near Valley of Dreams, which isn't an easy place to find, and there was a group of about 10 Chinese people camped out there in tents. |
