Description
English: The stern section of the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Frank E. Evans (DD-754) tied up alongside USS Everett F. Larson (DD-830), after she was cut in two in a collision with the Australian aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne (R12), 3 June 1969. The ships were participating in Southeast Asian Treaty Organization exercises in the South China Sea when the collision occurred.
