DescriptionStern of USS Houston (CL-81), circa in 1945.jpg |
English: Stern of the U.S. Navy Cleveland-class cruiser USS Houston (CL-81), probably on Buffalo Bayou, Texas (USA). It is painted in Measure 22 camouflage and carries two Curtiss SC-1 Seahawk scout aircraft on the catapults. Houston wore Measure 22 camouflage after her refit at the New York Naval Shipyard which ended on 27 October 1945. She was then assigned to the Atlantic Fleet until her decommissioning on 15 December 1947. |
