| Description |
English: Steps to Pigot Lane. The wooden steps ascend from the Dell onto Pigot Lane. The Dell > 1541861 is located in a triangle bordered by Pigot Lane, Spur Lane and Long Road. It is one of several disused gravel pits in the area. The gravel was used for the construction of local houses and roads. After narrowly escaping being split in half by road junction improvements in the 1990s, the Dell was developed into a wildlife habitat by members of the parish council in cooperation with schools, Scout and Guide groups and other volunteers. |
