| Description |
English: Stenson Lock No 6, Derbyshire This is the last of six wide locks at the eastern end of the Trent and Mersey Canal. This lock has a drop of 12ft 4in (3.3 metres). Two narrowboats can be accommodated side by side. The maximum beam width for larger boats is ten feet as far as Burton-on-Trent (Horninglow) though I have never seen two of those trying to pass by each other. |
