| Description |
English: Stenson Lock. The advantage of wide locks can be seen in this picture as the boat on the right pulls out - presumably observing the etiquette of first in, first out. The disadvantage is that the gates are necessarily big and heavy, making hard work for the crew. This lock is also unusually deep at 12 feet 4 inches. |
