Very large fine sort,not quite ao late as the Late Italian, andalmost as large. The heads are quite large, Our Aquariums of Gold Fish are Unsurpassed. GARDEN MANUAL FOR THE SOUTHERN STATES. 51 white and compact, and of deliciousflavor. We recommend it to all whohave not tried it. When sown at theproper season, it will head with cer-tainty and will not fail to give satisfac-tion. Late Italian Giant. This is thelargest of all Cauliflowers, and grownto considerable extent in the neighbor-hood of New Orleans. It is very largeand compact; should not be sown laterthan June, as it takes from seven tonine months before it heads. Early Snowball. An extra earlydwarf variety similar to the DwarfErfurt; good to sow for last in spring.It will produce flowers as early as theExtra Early Paris, but larger.

Long Red without core. St. Valerie or Three-Quarter Long. Half Long Luc. Danvers Intermediate. Chantenay Half Long Scarlet. Oxheart. Creole. CULTURE.—Requires a sandy loam, well manured the previous year, and deeplyspaded up. Should be sown in drills ten to twelve inches apart, so the plants can be workedafter they are up. Gardeners here generally sow them broadcast, and often the roots aresmall from being crowded too much together. Danvers Intermediate. An intermediateAmerican kind. It is of a bright orangecolor; very smooth; cymmetrically formed,somewhat stump-rooted like the Half LongLuc. It will produce more in weight to theacre than any other Half Long variety.
