Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A steaming wand that attaches to a steam source and used to clean wine barrels. The wand is inserted through the bang hole, with wet towels around the opening to help seal the hole. The wand is then allowed to steam the barrel for a certain amount of time. When it is removed, a plastic bung is quickly used to seal the barrel and it is left upright for a certain period of time to create a vacuum inside that leeches wine and other compounds from the wood staves. Then when the bung is removed, the barrel is turned to empty the liquid that has accumulated in the bottom.
