Summary
[edit]DescriptionSteam train at Raheny (geograph 3252204).jpg |
English: Steam train at Raheny In the days when railway stations were relatively open, buildings suffered from the curse of vandalism and graffiti “artists”. Situated in the north Dublin suburbs, Raheny station has clearly had a visit from some of society’s unsavoury elements. Fortunately, this kind of anti-social behaviour was greatly reduced with the introduction of station barriers and controlled access to railway premises. Preserved steam locomotive No. 184, built by the Great Southern & Western Railway in 1880, hauls a special train from Howth south through a pre-DART Raheny station. For a post-DART view, see: O2138 : DART train at Raheny |
