Summary

[edit]
Description
English: ...9П( "P") - 9 type "Steam locomotive industrial". It was produced from 1935 to 1957. A total of 3,024 steam locomotives were built.

Steam tank for shunting operations within the station. Produced without tender. Water and coal reserves are placed in smaller quantities (relative to conventional steam locomotives) on the machine itself. The design was carried out by the People 's Commissariat of Heavy Industry of the USSR in 1934-1935. It was produced serially in 1935-1941 and 1946-1957. Features: 1. A 1320 mm diameter boiler with 160 smoke tubes 46/51 mm in diameter and 3250 mm in length. 2. Valshart steam distribution mechanism with closed type link. Non-sliding cylindrical slide valves with internal steam inlet. Pistons without counterrods. Two horizontal Friedman injectors attached to the driver 's booth. Breathed with floating bronze bushings. Welded mezhduramny fastenings 3. Water and coal reserves are 5.0 m3 and 2.0 m3, respectively. 4. To facilitate fitting into the small radius curves, the wheel bands of the second axle were without ridges. Axles of wheelsets were made burtless, therefore wheels were equipped with thrust washers. 5. The spring suspension was three-point, statically defined. The springs of the first wheelset were interconnected by a transverse balance bar. Springs of the second and third wheelsets on each side of the crew - longitudinal balance bar. The springs of all wheelsets were located above the bouches.

Factory designation: Type 164 Technical characteristics: Length - 9744 mm Gauge - 1524 mm Design speed - 35 km/h Minimum radius of curves - 60 m Power - 320 hp. Axial formula - 0-3-0 Service weight - 55.2 t (service) and 45 t (empty)

At present in Russia such circumstances:: 3 steam tank-locomotives 9П are fully serviceable and periodically used in maneuvering operations. About 10 tank-locomotives 9П are in museums. About 30 tank-locomotives 9П are installed as monuments. These are usually railway workshops and large mining, metallurgical plants.
