Summary
[edit]DescriptionSteam engine, Nothe Fort - geograph.org.uk - 1717645.jpg |
English: Steam engine, Nothe Fort A W Sisson inverted vertical compound marine steam engine as used in steam pinnaces and also in technical colleges as a test engine. This one clearly has a Pickering governor and an adjustable Meyer valve on the low pressure cylinder. These clearly mark it out as a test engine. It's now behind glass, connected to a propeller and turned slowly by an electric motor. |
