Summary
[edit]DescriptionSteam engine, Manor Mill, Yeadon - geograph.org.uk - 1358001.jpg |
English: Steam engine, Manor Mill, Yeadon Built 1920 by Pollit & Wigzell of Sowerby Bridge. This is a standard single rod tandem as opposed to Pollit's patent three rod design with two low pressure piston rods, one either side of the high pressure cylinder.
This engine was stopped in 1976 and scrapped in 1980. I was there on the pre-auction viewing. |
