Summary
[edit]DescriptionSteam Motor Car during American Civil War.jpg |
English: American steam motor cars date back to at least the 1850s but gained ascendancy and a measure of popularity during the 1860s. All seemed to have allowed railways with limited budgets to operate an all-in-one train service and designs varied. Some were unique and home-shop built; others came from commercial specialist builders. Few survived after c.1910. |
