| Description |
English: Statue of St Richard (1) Richard de Wyche (i.e., of modern Droitwich) was Bishop of Chichester 12441253, although he initially struggled with King Henry III to gain the temporalities of the See. He was canonised in 1262 and his shrine was a popular place of pilgrimage until Henry VIII ordered its destruction.
The statue is by Philip Jackson and was unveiled in 2000. |
