Description
English: Statue of St Andrew on the former Bank of Liverpool building. This statue of St Andrew is on the west side of the former Bank of Liverpool building, which was built by John Douglas in 1897. Andrew is said to have been martyred by crucifixion on an X-shaped cross, which is now commonly known as 'St. Andrew's cross' and is the origin of the cross on the Scottish flag.
