| Description |
English: Statue of Richard Hooker. The subject is well described in 410259 - I can only add that the statue dates from 1907 and is by Alfred Drury, and provide this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Hooker_(theologian) . The bushes shown in 2005 seem to have swept away along with most of the Cathedral Close's trees which were felled last year. The cathedral, with which (ironically in view of the prominent positioning of the statue near it) he had little to do, is behind him. |
