Erotic group of the 2nd century AD after an Hellenistic original. Both heads are supplemented, the satyr's being modern, the hermaphrodite's being ancient, but not belonging. Depicted is game of attraction and repulsion, of lust surprise and affright. Dionysian-bucolic attributes lie of the rock face.
