The monument to fra Andrija Kačić Miošić, folk poet and friar, the work of sculptor Ivan Rendić, was ceremonially unveiled at the beginning of Mesnička Street, during the Jubilee Economic Exhibition in Zagreb in 1891, on the anniversary of the unveiling of the first casting of this monument in Makarska. The bronze sculpture is executed realistically, very well dimensioned and balanced in lines, masses and psychological expression. It was placed on a high stone pedestal decorated with rich decoration of geometric and floral patterns and mosaics. At the corners, there are profiled cast iron columns, connected by a wrought iron fence. The monument was rated by art critics as the best public monument in Rendić's oeuvre in the 1880s and 1890s. Hrvatski: Spomenik fra Andriji Kačiću Miošiću, pučkom pjesniku i fratru, rad kipara Ivana Rendića, svečano je otkriven na početku Mesničke ulice, za trajanja Jubilarne gospodarske izložbe u Zagrebu 1891. g., na godišnjicu otkrivanja prvog odljeva ovog spomenika u Makarskoj. Brončana skulptura izvedena je realistički, vrlo dobro dimenzionirana i uravnotežena u linijama, masama i psihološkom izrazu. Postavljena je na visoki kameni postament ukrašen bogatom dekoracijom geometrijskog i floralnog uzorka i mozaikom. Na uglovima su profilirani stupovi od lijevanog željeza, povezani kovanoželjeznim ogradom. Spomenik je od likovne kritike ocijenjen kao najbolji javni spomenik u Rendićevom opusu 1880-1890-tih godina.
