Description
Nederlands: In 1870 werd Den Bosch aangesloten op het spoornet waarna het eerste station werd ontworpen door K.H. van Brederode. Na ruim 25 jaar kreeg dat gebouw de functie van tramstation en verrees een tweede station naar een ontwerp van Eduard Cuypers. Dit werd in 1896 geopend. Bij de bevrijding van de stad in 1944 werd dit neo-renaissance station zo zwaar beschadigd dat het moest worden gesloopt. In 1952 kreeg Den Bosch zijn derde station, ontworpen door Sybold van Ravesteyn. Deze maakte ook hier zijn naam van ‘meest gesloopte architect van Nederland’ waar, want in 1995 werd besloten dat er een nieuw station moest komen, naar een ontwerp van Rob Steenhuis.
