| Description |
English: Station Yard development, Histon station (1) Histon station saw its last passengers in October 1970 with goods trains using the line until 1992. Since August 2011 the line to St Ives has formed the route of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. The Busway plan intended the demolition of the station but local residents campaigned successfully to save it. However, the building remained unused until recently. It now forms part of the Station Yard development which comprises twelve 1 & 2 bedroom apartments, here nearing completion. For a 2007 photo from the same position see: TL4462 : Histon Station. |
