English: Station Road, Burley, seen from The Cross. Seen on Bank Holiday Monday. The Queens Head pub is beyond car on left. White shop on left is The Sorcerer's Apprentice. White shop of right is A Coven of Witches (they're hot on witchcraft in Burley). For a similar view in 1950 see Francis Frith's photo B647016 which shows that the buildings, if not their usage, are largely unchanged. |
