Summary
[edit]DescriptionStatfold Barn Railway - garden railway (geograph 5489331).jpg |
English: Statfold Barn Railway - garden railway.
Two of the smaller narrow gauge locomotives getting ready for a day's duty round the garden. The vertical boiler locomotive is a modern construction from various bits and pieces. ISC No. 2 though has a real pedigree. It is an 0-4-0ST Kerr Stuart "Wren" built in 1918 for the National Smelting Company's zinc refinery at Avonmouth. In 1959 it was exported to a private collector in Canada. In 2013 its owner engaged Statfold to carry out a complete overhaul. Unfortunately the Canadian insurers would not be satisfied without major irreversible changes so it wassold to Statfold and is now a regular performer. |
