Summary
[edit]DescriptionStatfold Barn Railway - Joffre class locomotive (geograph 5423338).jpg |
English: Statfold Barn Railway - Joffre class locomotive
This class arose from the French government's need for an additional 70 locomotives to supplement the light military 0-6-0s supplied by French maker Decauville. This was built by Kerr Stuart of Stoke-on-Trent as No. 3010 in 1916 and is an 0-6-0WTT. It was repatriated from France in the mid 1970s and placed on open air display at Glodfa Ganol in Wales before moving to a collector in Norfolk where all that happened was that it was overwhelmed by vegetation. It came to Statfold in 2012. |
