Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Accompanying note: "Latvala, chairman of the Senate Ethics and Elections Committee, demanded to know whether fellow Sen. Maria Sachs, D-Delray Beach, actually lived in her district. Sachs said she has a condo in Broward County, in her district, which qualified under Florida's residency laws. It was widely reported, however, that she and her husband actually lived on a horse ranch in Palm Beach County, slightly outside her district. Latvala and Senate President Don Gaetz, R-Niceville, made tightening of the residency definition a top priority for the subsequent 2014 legislative session."
