Description
English: Senator Al Lawson is speaking at a news conference in front of the House chamber March 24, 2009, as legislators protested a state budget that would have reduced state employee salaries 2 percent for workers making over $45,000 a year. Gov. Charlie Crist vetoed the pay cut when it passed during a budget crisis. Joining in the protest at the left are State Reps. Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda, D-Tallahassee, and Yolly Roberson, D-North Miami Beach.
