Description
English: Interior of a lounge room in a Queensland home, 1937 Inscription under photograph reads, 'Bryn-Cefn', probably a residence in Ayr, north Queensland. The furnishings in the living room include a three-seater sofa uphostered in a woven, floral tapestry fabric with an accompanying high backed arm chair in the popular 'tub'style. An upright radiogramme in the centre of the photograph has a table lamp on it and matching lampshade. The walls of the living room have a wood-panelled bottom section and a picture rail. Behind the sofa is a smaller wall-mounted reading lamp. The walls are decorated with photographs and prints.
