Original caption: " Steamship Koopa leaving the wharf at Brisbane, bound for Redcliffe and Bribie Island " — bishop.slq.qld.gov.au
English: S. S. Koopa was built by the Scottish shipbuilding firm of Ramage and Ferguson Limited. The vessel was completed in October 1911 and arrived in Brisbane on the 24th December that year. She ran her first trip to Redcliffe on 26th December 1911 and became well known to the Brisbane Tug and Steamship Company's patrons on this route. She also ran a service to Bribie Island. On August 18, 1943, Koopa was requisitioned by the Royal Australian Navy and used during World War II as a depot ship. She returned to the Bribie Island service in February 1947. Koopa was later acquired by the Moreton Bay Development Company, which went into liquidation in 1953. As a result, the vessel was taken off the Brisbane - Redcliffe - Bribie run and retired in 1960.
