Description
English: Remaining southern end of the Victoria Bridge, during the 1893 Brisbane flood. The north end of the first permanent Victoria Bridge (built 1864-1874) was washed away on 6 February 1893. In this image, showing the remains of the bridge, looking towards South Brisbane, the flood waters are still quite high. The photograph was possibly taken by W. Stark.
