Description
日本語: 「踏車廃止機械灌漑創設」記念碑。佐賀県佐賀市巨勢町大字修理田字東分下。大正時代（1920年代）、真崎照郷が発明した機械ポンプにより、灌漑が人力の踏車から省力化されたことを記念する。方式は、当初ディーゼルエンジン、改良を経て電動モーターとなり、佐賀平野に普及し、1930年代前半に米の収量を増やした佐賀段階の要因の１つとなった。参考:[1], [2], [3]
English: A memorial monument of the start of machine pumping irrigation and release from foot pumpimg, according to the invention by Terusato Masaki in 1920s. It is in Kose, Saga city, Saga prefecture.
