From left: Chekov (Walter Koenig), Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), Scott (James Doohan) and Sulu (George Takei). They await the results of a battle which could mean the destruction of their spacecraft in the episode "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield".
Date | Stamped by the news outlet who received it December 21, 1968; the episode actually aired January 10, 1969. The NBC release doesn't mention the year and has been trimmed.

- The series aired on NBC throughout its run from 1966 to 1969. It aired on Thursdays for its first year.[1] The series was also done by Desilu Productions until 1967, when production switched to Paramount Television.
- I conducted various copyright searches on the UPenn site to try determining if any copyrights had been registered.
- I searched the complete volumes for film and artwork for the years 1965 to 1969. Desilu Productions registered only w:The Lucy Show and w:Yours, Mine and Ours (1968 film) in conjunction with Walden Films. NBC registered only one still image-a color slide from Bonanza of Ben Cartwright on a horse.
- Nothing turned up when I searched Star Trek for the years 1965 through 1969 in either film or artwork.
- There's no evidence of copyright for this time frame from either production company or from NBC.
