ไทย: รูปลักษณะของธงราชงศ์ฝ่ายใน ตามที่ปรากฏในหนังสือ "พระราชบัญญัติ์ว่าด้วยแบบอย่างธงสยาม" ที่เมืองไลป์ซิก จักรวรรดิเยอรมัน ในปีใดปีหนึ่งระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2442-2453
ตามความที่บรรยายหนังสือดังกล่าว ซึ่งอิงตามพระราชบัญญัติธง รัตนโกสินทรศก 118 ระบุไว้ว่า "ที่ 6 ธงราชวงษ์ สำหรับพระราชวงษ์ ขนาดกว้าง 5 ส่วน ยาว 6 ส่วน พื้นธงสีขาบ กลางมีรูปโล่ห์ตราแผ่นดิน เบื้องบนแห่งโล่ห์นั้น มีรูปจักรกรีไขว้กัน แลมีมหามงกุฎสวมอยู่บนจักกรี สำหรับชักขึ้นบนเสาใหญ่ ในเรือพระที่นั่ง ฤๅเรือรบลำใดลำหนึ่ง ซึ่งพระราชวงษ์องค์ใดองค์หนึ่ง เสด็จโดยอิศริยศทางราชการ เปนที่หมายให้ปรากฏว่า พระราชวงษ์ได้เสด็จอยู่ในเรือพระที่นั่ง ฤๅเรือรบลำนั้น พระราชวงษ์ผู้ที่จะใช้ธงนี้ได้ ก็จำเภาะแต่พระราชวงษ์ผู้ใหญ่ ซึ่งมีอิศริยศสมควรที่จะรับสลุตอย่างหลวง 21 นัด ในเรือรบทหารยืนเพลาใบ แลทหารบกยืนแถวคลี่ธงไชย์ แตรทำเพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมี ถวายคำนับเปนเกียรติยศเท่านั้น พระราชวงษ์อันมีอิศริยศอันต่ำกว่านั้น นับว่าเปนพระราชวงษ์ชั้นผู้น้อย ถ้ามีราชการไป ต้องได้รับพระราชทานพระบรมราชานุญาตเปนการพิเศษก่อน จึ่งจะใช้ธงราชวงษ์นี้ได้ ที่ 7 ถ้าพระบรมวงษานุวงษ์ฝ่ายใน สีธงแลเครื่องหมายต่างๆ เหมือนกัน เว้นแต่ต้องตัดชายเปนแฉกรูปอย่างหางนกแซงแซวเท่านั้น" หากอิงตามเนื้อความเหล่านี้ พื้นธงควรเป็นสีขาบล้วนดุจเดียวกับธงราชวงษ์ (ฝ่ายหน้า) ดังเช่นภาพเบื้องล่าง
แต่ในหนังสือเล่มนี้กลับลงพื้นธงเป็นแบบเดียวกับธงมหาราชและธงราชินีในพระราชบัญญัติฉบับเดียวกัน คือมีพื้นนอกเป็นสีแดง พื้นในเป็นสีขาบ จึงไม่อาจตัดสินได้ชัดเจนว่า ธงแบบที่ปรากฏนี้กับธงแบบพื้นสีขาบล้วนมีเครื่องหมายอย่างเดียวกับ อย่างไหนคือธงราชวงษ์ฝ่ายในที่ถูกต้องและมีการใช้งานจริง ภาพต้นฉบับซึ่งสามารถดูได้จากใน File:Flag regs of Siam - 1909.pdf |
