The size of the souvenir sheet: 70×100 mm. The size of the stamp: 30×42 mm. Print run: 250,000. The Portrait of Vladimir Ivanovich Dal by Vasily Perov. 1872. The margins of the souvenir sheet: the house in Moscow (Bolshaya Gruzinskaya, 4/6, build. 9), where Vladimir Dal lived in 1859–1872, now (2012) the building of the Museum of Vladimir Dal; a quotation by Vladimir Dal about the significance of “the living people’s language” as “the source and the treasury for the educated Russian speech”; the autograph of Vladimir Dal.
