Description
English: Stamp design: F. Kepler.  · 2-headed Russian eagle inside the oval. Face value at bottom middle.  · First letterpress issue Type II perf 14¼ x 14.  · On the first letterpress issue (Mi:FI 57, Sn:FI 72) the horizontal shading lines behind the coat of arms are clearer and generally unbroken. The "1" has wider serifs at top and bottom and the "E" in "PEN." is curved at the bottom. On Type II the "0" is "10" is less rounded at the top and bottom.
